mirror mirror

A Poem by Eliza arabi

mirror mirror on the wall.

do you know that girl who stands so tall?

they want her and they try to care.

who is that girl that everyone craves?

Mirror:

she is just a girl, a pretty face.

they like what they see, perfect on the surface.

but everything isnt what it seems, she always hides.

its the dizzy world to what she cant abide.

oh but why? she is so loved, what is there to hide?

everybody has her on their mind, what else would she need?

she is so very lucky,

how i wish i was she.

mirror: be glad of who you are,

she is nothing but scars

she carries a broken heart, never been fixed.

shes been torn apart, and now shes emotionless

they killed her humanity, they strangled her pride

they think all she wants is a different guy every night.

all she really desires is true love which was snatched

all she got was abuse and was beaten till the blue

now she sits numb and pale, all she does is cry.

through night and day, watching time go by.
