Central Divider

Central Divider

A Poem by Aiden Aloysius
"

Out of reach.

"
At moments she wanders,
sometimes she runs blind;
no matter her absence,
I know that I'll find -
her in the same place,
as if by design -
between the bottom of my heart,
and the top of my mind.

Our bodies are distanced,
by mountains and time,
so she gave me her heart,
and I let her have mine.
She's my central divider,
supporting my spine -
Between the bottom of her heart,
and the top of my mind.

This is sweet. I love the first stanza best, but the entirety is also very well written. It describes a lovely and heartwarming feeling shared by the two. (:
