Roses For You Love

Roses For You Love

A Poem by Angelica

Free forming vines
entangle in one another
as a whole pumping
love throughout the veins
to blood red roses.

Vines tangle in one another
as hands holding an embrace.
Sharp thorns embedded
in the bodies protect
love from the outside world.

Whatever comes
to tear the vines
apart from one another
faces bloodshed
as the thorns prick
through villainous skin.

Through the winter
the free flowing vines
stay together
entangled in one another
as one forever.

The harsh winter winds
blow chills across the land.
Freezing vines display
frozen tears of water
dripping down,

but stop before the ground.
Blackened rose petals fall
while vines become hidden
from the world
in the falling snow.

As the summer dances
the vines melt through.
The roses bloom
welcoming the warm rays
of the shining sun.

They stay together
as one pumping love
throughout the veins
to blood red roses
budding together.

The vines grow
with an embrace to last
forever more.
Tart thorns prick
what breaks them apart.

Freezing winds
take no control
about the embracing vines.
Forever more
they lay entangled.

Free forming vines ensnare
in one another
as a whole pumping
love throughout veins
to blood red roses.
