Numb Monster

Numb Monster

A Poem by Angelica

He battered his little fists to feel something.
Red slashes here and thee just to feel he’s alive.
He slipped into her bedroom late at night.
He came, bruise and broke her leaving nothing.
Out of sight until she cried through broken tears.
All his deep pleasures were her dreaded fears.

Shadows in the distant, never.
Laughter echoed off the rotting walls.
He trapped her inside nightmares forever
as his dreadful dreams never awakened any calls.
Her fears tattooed in his bleeding veins did grow
as watched by hollow eyes of a dead crow.
