Eyes Won't See

Eyes Won't See

A Poem by Angelica

Blank stares at blank pages,
there’s no easy way to say this.
My heart screams out everything,
but my mouth stays still as a brick.

Blank stares at blank spaces
to avoid being sucked into his eyes.
Should be happy, but can’t help not being
as I slowly break apart.

Blank stares at blank hands held,
still waiting for your hands to come around.
My heart will wait more than forever though
you’re stubborn, even if my hand must be in another.
