Gasoline tainted air,
cars run the land
with no emotion,
choking on fumes
clangs and bangs
disrupt the earth
caged within brick buildings,
But close your eyes
take a breath
open to a free view,
stand above
drop everything,
release yourself
to the wind.
Take a path beyond the tar,
you’ll find a painting
as mountains rise
above pearl clouds,
quiet clear waters
ripple in the wind,
flowers paint the ground
in luminescent colors,
the singsong of birds
fill the air.
Such beauty of the world
hangs on the edge
as open eyes
see the rust
but are blind to the rest.
