Two halves, but One Seen.

Two halves, but One Seen.

A Poem by Angelica

Years of friendship lay before us as laughter sprays from my lips
And a smile dances upon my careful face;
A disguise for your eyes don’t see.

Two cars in opposite direction clash as your ears stand alert,
But your eyes look past me while I try to reveal
The inner workings of my mind.

Worlds apart you only know what’s given as you only see
The child you knew years before, but safely hidden
Is the other half you never knew.
