Stuck in Prison

Stuck in Prison

A Poem by Angelica

The eagle’s eye watches each and every one, circling around
As if hunting its prey, picking out the good and the bad.

There we sit like mice in a lab, where we are trapped
In cages constantly being test, and doing what is told.

Fighting, we try our best to reach the prized cheese
At the end of the maze so one day we can break free,

But we are tested once again with bigger and harder tests,
Until some break down and quit, and others prevail.
