A Poem by Billy

Where does beauty come from?

From the flowers that grow.

We are around it so often

we don’t admire her who spins so quietly under our toes.

She, who grows around us.

I do not know her gender,

but that her love is gentle and light.

We do not account her lightness of breath,

the life she breathes,

the chaos in her breath.

She who is beauty and she who is everything to us,

our mother and our god.

If I am to disapeer

it will be unto her breast,

the breast of sky and sea,

the soft hills of her who does not speak.
