A Poem by Billy

i bathe in the lake of flame
to burn the skin that holds me in you
i pray for rain to freeze my heart,
and let me feel you with no hands
to hold your hips to mine
to feel the icicles your chill can bring
make stand the wings of freedom
you hold down in my back
throw off the shackles engraved
find no solace in your heart
the fires burn infinite separate parts
branded my past
