Alchemical Voyage of Self EmbraceA Poem by Ahmad AlhourWritten : 9th-13th Mar, 2009 - 12:56 PMThis poem consists of 5 parts and it can't be "understood" if the parts weren't read in order, they are sorted as follows: * Prologue.
* Book I: The Lost Voyager. * Book II: The Voyage - Igniting the Flame Therein. * Book III: The Self's Plexus. * Book IV: The Embrace of Love and Will. [ PROLOGUE ] Those fragile winds carry no dews Of life lost deep within, astray And thoughts shape like old dunes Only loathed fear is felt and dismay The night plays such tenuous tunes O, fear upon winds flight away And stars rounded all earthly moons Where awakening slays every decay Began my voyage dry as of June's My cheek bewitted of tears gray The soul whispers of nightly glooms And of a day joyful carrying blues! [ BOOK I: The Lost Voyager ] What towering fences built high Of adobes make the ego-nest What towering fears broke the sky With such dismay of mind's mist I, the emblems of winter's sigh: The being of all anger detest I, the sentience of warrior's cry: The laughter of joy impressed Shall I behold upon the self - my ally Or upon the enemies - disgraced Shall I ever behold the truth high For such truth is the bride of I! [ BOOK II: The Voyage - Igniting the Flame Therein ] The voyage had begun of total escape A shelter from the shimmering Sun Masked it was of my weakness's shape As I: Journeyed forth, lost I had run The voyage then, shifts into ignorance-rape Where awakening of self is yet undone Truth then unveiled in hands of I - the slave Sacrament of awakening that was done Yet chants the voyage: "The Self all I crave" Responsive to everything has gone For this shelter, of falsity it did behave It I abandon with every virtue depraved! [ BOOK III: The Self's Plexus ] Lo! Where of winds hide man's serenity Nature's Will doth flow and appear One with all, one in micro-obscurity And the selfless nature disappears! Ignite I the self: The microcosm-identity The flame that burns in hearts severe Of no shape it is and of no depravity Shall it bear destruction of ego's sphere "Do What Thou Wilt", it is of honesty It is of Love and to it ye shall adhere Behold this Law: This cause of maturity For it is the very seed of true fertility! [ BOOK IV: The Embrace of Love and Will ] Behold now the suspension of disbelief: The very cause of destruction deeply And abandon every sorrow, every grief: This embrace is of great maturity For ye shall bear no prayer to any chief Your Self is the Law: Seed of simplicity Behold on this embrace: Ignition of relief: The initiation of our universal felicity And stumble, O self, upon such books brief Where stories of might foretold greatly Alike mysteries drowned we, in our grief Shall we hold upon that very true belief?!
