[ Dreams of Prudence ]

O, for a dream I dreamt
and in the secrecy of night I kept
wondering what would it mean?
as many things disobedient I have seen:
an offspring in seed time learns
and in harvest thou waits and earns.
And roads of excess lead to the palace of fire,
where prudence is rich in lids of desire,
where Folly is the cloak of knavery;
and Shame is Pride's cloak, savory.
The Maiden seen in opulent winter enjoys
the Lion, the Wolf and the Serpent's noise
the king crownless, internally obeyed;
to men veiled by masks where lights fade
then fell a halo, so rigid like a storm;
shaking the core of every being and every form
unfolding the secrets of  Balance and Liberty
for the sake of Love, Freedom and Humanity
O, what a great ethereal essence;
when I by the Love of Unity dreamt of prudence.
