The Crownless Again Shalt Be King - (Prose)

A Poem by Ahmad Alhour

The Crownless Again Shalt Be King   [Prose Poem]:

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shalt be woken,
A darken beam from the shadows shalt spring;
Renewed shalt be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shalt be king.

The beauty of this poem is it's simplicity, and it follows the rhyme perfectly.

your first online prose poem!
the imagery is great!
and the confrontation of the offered truth of your own originality and righteousness! your right!
the confidence and the presentation of a rather Folk cultural inheritance! for example the sayings...
'tis not all that glitter must be gold
Deep roots are not reached by the frost
Not all those who wander are lost...
and the idea... i think its an introduction to rather a classic Epic!

great write!
keep it up!

Hrm. I like the language that you've chosen for this. It really seems to fit the piece. It seems familiar somehow... a bit like an old glove. That can be a good thing; familiarity breeds comfort, which is sometimes a good thing.

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I really like this line. It is one of the strongest, in my opinion. Such simple language for such a strong message; the juxtaposition of the two is really nice. You've a good piece here. Thanks for sharing.
