Lullaby.

Lullaby.

A Poem by kenzie evans

Sleep peacefully tonight,
I know I'm no help but
I'm someone who can still hold you tight.
I know it's hard, but I want you to know;
my heart is breaking, but I'll never let you go.
So, go to sleep. Dream sweet melodies that come from my lips.
Don't forget these fingertips as they hold you tonight, goodnight.
We've hardly known each other,
but it feels like years.
I know you'll see I'm breaking
by the millions of tears that fall.
Please don't say you're sorry, first, promise;
you'll still love me, as long as I sing you this lullaby.
Go to sleep, dream sweet melodies that come from my lips,
Please don't forget these fingertips as they hold you tight,
Goodnight.
