A Poem by kenzie evans

There is a cell within my head
that I am locked in every year.

I'm free for some months, but
once again, Winter must be here.

I can't explain why I'm in this cell,
for only the coldest time.

There is a cell within my head,
a dungeon within my mind.

Imagine being set free,
and you think sadness is in the past.

Spring, Summer, Fall, fell like
quick sand much too fast.

It sounds imaginary saying it;
"seasonal highs & lows."

I can't believe I'm in this cell,
with no where else to go.
