One of Those Days.

One of Those Days.

A Poem by kenzie evans

Some days I try to forget about you,
some days I go to call you, but then remember.
Some days I try to count down days to your visit,
Some days I want to fast forward to December.
Some days I want to hate you for leaving us,
Some days I love you for finally escaping.
Some days I b***h about you to whoever brings you up,
because some days I hate the past that you're taking.

& Some days, I just cry, with the phone in my hand
because I can't call you, and I don't understand.
& It's one of those days where it hits me too fast,
I'm drowning in your absence, fighting with the past.

powerful piece. I would suggest not using the and's in the second stanza but otherwise this is a well written and truly moving poem.
