top of the word.

top of the word.

A Poem by kenzie evans

I thought I could handle this song tonight

just to let myself get lost in it

but I'll have to wait it out until

I can handle the tears that are bound to come with it.

I heard her suicidal cry at quarter after two;

and now the melody is sad, the words are even more true.

I heard the weight when he explained his choice

and now emotions pry at me when I hear the voice.

it's just a shame that songs are ruined

when they're tied to heart broken things

I wish I could just sing to them;

seems like I never get to sing.
