Empty.

Empty.

A Poem by kenzie evans

As I travel down this empty corridor,

I get a feeling that I've been here before...

I try to look, to find a familiar face,

but theres no one, no one in this tragic place.

These walls alligned with mirrors,

I struggle to look, then my eyes get clearer.

I see a reflection, one that I have known,

this imagine, it is my own.

But this person staring back at me has changed,

something different, something rearranged.

This person has been defeated,

forgotten, lost, mistreated.

She tried to find love,

but she's given up.

This battle is one she has lost,

for love, has a high cost.
