Both of YouA Poem by JinxToday, I see you, Ready for the world, Eager, caged in to The young life you’re Bored with, as you Lay curled in the pale Pink corner, missing Your mom, crying For home. Ten years later, I see you, Once wearily Walking about, Grateful to finally Be home. Next, Zipping under Your own legs, Bouncing about In a pink and blue Tutu, giggling, Bopping across The room. As your crash Onto the couch, I see a smile Creep across Both faces As we watch The little girl Love life © 2011 Jinx |
