Schism

Schism

A Poem by Jinx

Schism

So we stand tentatively

together on the precipice

of an ending and a rebirth.

Having been united in high

times, feigning friendship

in strife, laugh, snicker,

smile, leer, a welcome

Hand or condemning finger.

With the dawn comes a new age,

decisions, directions, destinations

and destiny. With the sunset splitting

the sky, which side would you choose?

You know I’d be by yours.
