I amA Poem by JinxI amI am I am Ozymandias King of your King You, like he, will Quake and break before me. I am Moses, son of a slave, With power to deliver us And lead you blind In the desert to die. I am Joshua, The forgotten man Who died two deaths of water And wood so you may live Through fire. I am William Wallace, A brave heart, who could Not bend. My last words Choked from me: freedom. I am the failed artist, Whose masterpiece to be Fueled by our same flame Leaves a grease-stain memory. I am a freedom fighter, A premature martyr, Yet you will remember me As a bloody tyrant. I am a peacemaker, A prophet whose Dark history is eclipsed By my dream made yours. I am an arrogant Boy, humbled by The whispers of our past Unsure of the face of the future. © 2011 JinxReviews
