Blossom, Bloom

Blossom, Bloom

A Poem by <3

We bloom so gracefully like roses in the field

To be left without water!

Oh, and the empty aching I always feel!
It’s only a simple bother.
But how can you say I went away?
My roots where so deeply planted
I doubt I could have swayed,
Take for granted strayed!
I always dreamed of being blue,
But was cursed a scarlet burn.
You said my true color was never true;
What more could I learn for you?
But you gave me my dream!
And without even realizing!
Clipped my stem,
Left me for dead,
Then asked me why I had turned so blue!
Even a hue,
Even a shade couldn't bring you back to me.
Even my wilting efforts were just that,
A last try to grow once lost leaves back!
I’ve grown thorns in their place.
