DayDream ing

Tomorrow shall be splendid!

Else I'd have to close up in my shell,

move away like the hermit crab;

on spindly legs, carry the weight of my life alone.

But tomorrow shall not fail me;

only I it.

Can I blame a day?  A time?

Am I permitted to blame anything but my own self?

The fault would be mine,

I just don't wish to bear it on my back, a heavy home.

But as blame does not spread so evenly, wishes do not exist;

to wish for something that was would be naive to say the least!

So tomorrow will be splendid!

(As long as I so will it)
