Tick Tock

Tick Tock

A Poem by <3

The men with the powder get the sky as their canvas

But one day only our chimneys will be standing

And the men with the power get the sky as their canvas

But one day only their chimneys will be standing

So I sit and watch smokey, smokey

Silent killer on the second palm

war time shots, war time shots

but everybody keeps a delighted calm

Oh, I've got mushrooms in my eyes

But they tell me the c**k roaches will survive

So we'll be just fine

It will all be all right

I've got clouds in my eyes

But it's gonna be all right

Because what I can't see

well that can't hurt me

The men with the powder get the sky as their canvas

But one day only our chimneys will be standing

And the men with the power get the sky as their canvas

But one day only their chimneys will be standing

Oh The c**k roaches will be living

The chimneys will be standing

And I'll just keep sitting

While the future is a planning

Cause I've got mushrooms in my eyes

A head in the clouds, mushroom clouds on my mind

Oh but the c**k roaches will survive

So I'll be just fine, everything's gonna be all right.

Nice words. Every poem of yours that I read, I grow more and more fond of your "demeanor" of writing, though I'm not certain if that's the right word. Mood might be appropriate. Aura maybe more so...
