The Flames of Summer

The Flames of Summer

A Poem by Amanda
"

...we are all keepers of the flame....

"

The Flames of Summer

The flames of summer

Glowing ever so bright,

Shimmering off the lakes

The land so alive

After the spring of awakening

Shedding its radiance

The sharing of renewal

Transcendently into all things

Those who partake

Will never know

The true meaning…

We are all keepers of that flame

The beauty of mother earth,

The passage of father time,

In the eternal dance

Equinox, longer days

The feeling of the sun

Shining down on us all

Radiating to the very terra

That we call home.

Very descriptive and well written. Like the visuals that you painted here. This was a different style from you. I like this other direction of your work that you are showcasing.

Being honest, nothign wrong but very typically cliche. Not poorly written but I feel like you have better lines tugginag at you you use the stand in because that is what you think people expect> Give me the same poem but using description that may be entirely new to readers and may not be as comfortable as this is. I am not saying tis bad but go ahead and shock me.

Sweetly written Amanda. It gives the average person hope to see Amanda's optimism and evocative phrases. So nice my dear.

'We are all keepers of that flame' is the line I like best as it is just so true and positive.

Ah! What a beautiful imagery, I simply loved the entire visualization and the way with which you have described the entire scene.
The feeling of the sun
Shining down on us all
Radiating to the very terra
That we call home. - These lines were really very uplifting anf thoughtful.
Great piece of writing :)

Firstly, love the orange colour of this post.. it almost demands reading coz of its positivity and the reader just had to read your beautiful thoughts set in a finely written poem.

' The beauty of mother earth,
The passage of father time,
In the eternal dance
Equinox, longer days '

To me, those lines above truly say it all - and yes, it is the eternal dance and one we should use gently and in which we should step carefully.

Wonderful.

Your descriptions are so very lovely!!!
The images of mother earth, and the sun make me feel warm all over!

Only negative critique is the spelling of transcending...(I think you are using this word)....you have a few extra letters, but this is minor - an easy fix!
A very nice write!!

Amanda I must say this is so radiant and uplifting... your verses shine with such positive vibes like the sun off a crystal clear lake. Simply beautiful.
