Heart and Soul

Heart and Soul

A Poem by Amanda

Our hearts and souls relate

They envelop and entwine

Around each other

The splendor of the translucent glow

In the heavenly light,

As they soar skyward

Dancing with the joy in knowing,

Never to be alone again

The pain of the past

Slowly grows fainter

To be obscured, left in the wake

Replaced by new memories…

The sharing, the loving,

Coming together as one

A renewed purpose,

A different path in this life

How long this will last

And if it meant to be

Is dependent on our heart and soul

And the love we share

Only time will tell…

To live in the moment,

Make the best of the time spent

Is all we can do for now.

Nice poem. I noticed that you like to write poems that describe two souls swirling around each other in a state of ecstacy. The poem didn't particularly catch my attention, because it isn't as unique as the rest of your work, but good job nonetheless.

A wonderfully written poem and its flow is great .I also like the questioning of questions that only time will tell the answer and is also based upon our choices and decisions but it is still unknown turbulence that we all seek to calm.I really liked these lines Amanda:
The pain of the past

Slowly grows fainter

To be obscured, left in the wake

Replaced by new memories

The sharing, the loving,

Coming together as one

A renewed purpose,

A different path in this life
Have a great day !

Beautiful poem and beautiful pics, especially the second one!!
I loved it all! It was flowing real smooth and was easy to capture your thoughts, you penned them down in a simplest yet, a deep way.
Great job!! Keep it up... :)

I love the images you choose with your poems. They are perfectly match. Finding that love to share everything with is amazing. I am assuming you must have found that love. If not I want the poems you write when you do. This poem was amazing. I am having such a good time tonight with your wonderful work. Thanks for all the read requests. This is certainly a blessing.

Absolutely beautiful. I have been ravaged by heartache for what seems like an eternity. The hope and joy of a newfound love bleed through the lines and have wrapped my soul in a blanket of hope. I enjoyed this, start to finish. The flow was wonderful and I found myself reading it again after I finished it the first time. Great write.

'A different path in this life' is the line that appeals to me, as so many people crave exactly that for so many reasons. Good luck to you, may the path prove true.

This is lovely Amanda. Again, touching on the importance of living in the now. So important. And to feel and give love, is what life is all about.

Inspiring and passionate. Nice flow as well. Bravo my friend!

Beautiul Amanda as I would expect from you. Day by day is a good all round way to live your life...the best laid plans etc; You have shown many facets of love here...making the best of time spent together and I guess trust is one of the biggest issues that can't be overlooked. There is a sadness here that I can't define, but it definately whispers through the verse. Every word was carefully chosen and you are correct in your estimation of leaving the past where it belongs.
Great flow of prose :-)
Cheers.
