Soul Wandering

Soul Wandering

A Poem by Amanda

With my heart and mind

At rest, I let my soul wander

It soars through time and space

Searching for what is to be

Venturing into the vast sky

Glazing the heavenly glow of the setting sun

Colors brilliant of varying hues

Golden orange, radiant reds

The oncoming dusk and twilight

Tinges of purple, deep blues

Not worrying what the future brings

To live in the now and be happy

With what this life has to offer

Serenity reigning in my mind

The rhapsody of love growing around me

Being at peace, heart and soul

The light from within shining

Radiating as brightly as any star

Forgiving what is past and continuing

Rising from the ashes of that past

Vibrantly renewed…

The oncoming dusk and twilight

To live in the now and be happy

With what this life has to offer

A most vivid and descriptive piece of soft flowing verse

love the use of color thru~out and the serene feeling

of harmony of holding the moment~ Quite lovely indeed!

Beautiful flow. Timeless message. So many of us become caught up in the past and the future instead of making the most of what today has to offer. Somehow, today is lost. Excellent message of learning from the past yet continuing forward. The last three lines are brilliant in imagery and theme, Amanda. Truly brilliant.

Forgiving what is past and continuing
Rising from the ashes of that past
Vibrantly renewed...

Hugely enjoyable read!

'To live in the now and be happy' If we could truly do that wouldn't life be wonderful? This is beautifully scripted Amanda, I loved every word...so easy on the eyes and peaceful to the senses...REFRESHED...YES!!!
Kudos for a poetic journey into the soul xxx

This is a beautifully written expression of powerful emotions flows so freely , but shows strenght. I love the image you added at the top it evokes emotions that added to this piece. Very Nice ~ Jude :-)

Changing the font colours for each 'colour' adds a good touch to better increase the reader's imagination. This poem is so free, I can feel it gliding through the air. This definitely shows the work of a free spirit.

Great work.
