Is It Buttered Toast or Buttered Cat?A Poem by Amanda
If a cat lands on its feet When dropped from a distance And buttered toast falls Buttered side down In the same instance, What is the premise if said cat Has a slice of buttered toast Tied to its back? Maybe the cat will not want Said toast on its back Maybe the toast won’t like it either… I’m thinking that just maybe If for argument’s sake, All are in agreement The drop is made And the paradox is solved The cat weights more Given the laws of gravity And will win the fight with the toast. But let’s say that all don’t agree The cat would rather eat the toast And then we would still have A buttered cat landing on its feet Then again, maybe not…. We would have a slick cat Slipping and sliding to keep from Falling over when landing If you ask me, the big loser In all of this is the buttered toast If dropped alone, gravity makes its mark If dropped while tied to the cat The cat wins on that If the cat eats the toast, It’s a goner anyway Poor buttered toast, can’t win for losing!
