Renewal

Renewal

A Poem by Amanda
"

A collaborative work by myself and Matthew Carter

"

To ascend from the ashes like the phoenix

Life renewed, a new beginning

Another day, another mindset

To start again on what we came so far with

Change what is past and start again

With renewed vigor and strength,

To rise to new challenges

Challenges that must be achieved in one life time

We must defeat the devil in our mind sets

Spiritual strength is one thing

But without mental strength

It is nothing

Overcoming the fear to go on with life

To stand tall in the light from above and from the soul

Letting it shine brightly for all to see

To realize all anguish is as temporary as the full moon,

What once wasn’t will again cease,

The dust of all pain will eventually return to dirt

To rejoice in what is and what will be

For as long as we have peace in our hearts, minds and souls

All will be right with us

The search for these things ignites the eternal fight in us

That is true always, for it is an instinct that is hardwired

Instinct is our drive

Our drive is our purpose

Our purpose is to find us

A search that is sometimes as elusive

As inner peace, but still attainable

It’s the ultimate of spiritual graduation.

Amanda, you and Matthew did a great job with this, everything is spiritual in what you have said and all so true, if only we could convince ourselves that these are the real answers in life, but anguish and hurt sometimes takes over our thought process and some find it hard to get beyond that, it takes the inner light of God that eventually will lead some to this point of complete wisdom, knowledge and understanding and that path isn't an easy one to follow with fortitude and humility.

Amanda I really like this collab effort. This poem was very straight forward no hide and seek. It was we are after this and we are going to get this. I really enjoy your work. Thanks for all the read request. I am going to wind down my night with these wonderful pieces.

Nicely done guys. A very spititual journey for you and your reader. Dust becoming dirt, thereby becoming fertile...nice thought right there. The purpose to find what once was is very productive and optimistic. There are so many great thoughts in this, but my favourite is;
"To realize all anguish is as temporary as the full moon,"
Kudos on a magnificent effort of collaborative writing.

this is a stunning collab here as well as the immense thought
put into each sentence, being a collab, it has a way of subtlely inspiring
the reader to look at the grand design of reality as well as
life in general, the feeling of renewel is captivating, i loved this.

Amanda and Matt,
This is an amazing collaboration sending so much Truth and Hope.
As you have so wonderfully stated new beginnings are given each day to forget the past and go forward with out fear shining your spirit's warmth. Life for me is daily trying to live in "peace, love and hope." As you elude to in the 'end' we only are beginning! This is one of the best pieces I have read on the Caf in quite awhile. Absolutely beautiful ~ Jude :-)

Like the way your end this very much. Can't fault the thinking behind it one atom. It's all totally correct and a good way to be. I especially like the line about strength of mind as without the reason on board little is achievable, especially if the instincts for mischief or rat doubts are strong. I don't think we ever totally win and it may not be wise to expect to do so as that would be to achieve perfection and can any human being ever do that. So I think we all face a series of battles to a greater or lesser extent, some of which we may lose. But provided our minds and hearts remain true all should be well. And if they are... then renewal such as you describe here should always be a resonable hope.

This is beautiful and I specially loved its flow because it has been maintained so well throughout it that it is impossible for anyone to judge whether it is collaboration or not.
Both of you did a great job in writing about such a different theme, very vivid!

""We must defeat the devil in our mind sets
Spiritual strength is one thing
But without mental strength
It is nothing"

That stanza is powerful. Most don't realize this, and I'm
just coming into clarity re that very thing. Yes, spiritual
strength is weak without control over one's mind. We
must learn how to discipline it so the two can act
as one. I agree.

This entire piece is awesome!! You and Matt did a great
job writing this.. Bravo!
