Tiny Events

Tiny Events

A Poem by Amanda
"

..the ripple effect....

"

A whisper in the wind

Can change the world

A word can make or break

A relationship…

The effects of a tiny event

In time and space

Can produce a rippling motion

Causing a chain reaction…

Like the rings in a pond

After a stone is cast into it,

The undulating movement

Expands exponentially…

Sometimes for the better

Sometimes not…

All depends on the movement

The direction it all takes…

Oh! This is so sad :'(
"A word can make or break

A relationship"

I simply loved it and the thoughtfulness in it! I found it sad but still with a very strong message...It really take years to write a book but only few seconds to burn it up!
And this happen very often in our life and we can regret upon it..
*sigh*
As a writer, you really know how to play with your reader's emotions!
Beautifully sad!

This is a short poem that says very much! We never know how some little something we do or say is going to affect something or someone else. things and people are connected so much more than people realize! Great poem! Barbara

accually this is all so true for me.when you say a word can make or break a relationship.a chain reaction is like the dominions affect in life.this is very well said and i am glad i was able to read this.i believe in life if more would stop and think carefully before saying something or put there self in one others situations we wouldn't have so much of the of a dominion effect.sorry it's taken so long to read this i haven't been feeling well and in the hospitial for a few days.thank you so much for sharing.

the butterfly effect is felt in your words in its own way,
the ideas you present leaves the reader with a felling of added knowledge,
as well as the metaphorical perspective that gives the reader
new ideas to ponder, brilliant insight amanda, this is wise thinking.

This is a great poem Amanda... :) I am so sorry it has taken me so long to read your newer works. Not deliberate my friend, just much going on.

I really like the flow of this, but the message itself is what stands out. Yes, words can make or break us emotionally and unfortunately. Or fortunately. They hold a lot of power, so we should chose them wisely and never in anger. Easier said than done. I am guilty of spewing angry words as I think we all are.

Great piece my friend!

A powerful message written in your words, one word can bring out the best or the worse in us all. This is brilliant.

An excellent write!!!
I really liked the flow and expression used here, bringing forth the idea that all things are interconnected as one and the effects of everyone has a effect in the whole!!! Excellent message!

I really liked these lines:
Like the rings in a pond

After a stone is cast into it,

The undulating movement

Expands exponentially

BRAVO!!

Words are what we excel in here and a word of kindness goes a long way, unfortunately not many heed the call of kindness. This is a poignant write that entertains the idea of the ripple effect brilliantly Amanda. You have woven your magic through prose that is superb...
Nicely done.

True, true...each poem we create causes the odd wave also. Some big some little. And yes, sometime a tiny event escalates.
