My Dark Angel

What has happened

To you, my dark angel?

With broken wings

You have fallen

To the cold earth below

 

To see you soar

In the sky once more

Without the hindrance,

The burden you carry

To see you happy again

 

I see the scars you bear

Not just on your body but

Also on your heart and soul

I cry not just for you

But for myself

 

For I miss seeing you

Despite the darkness

You carry with you always

I long to see your

Dark wings spread wide

 

Rise again, my dark angel

Forget the past and the hurt

Rise above it all

Fly again to grace the sky

Forever free…
