Shining Light

The sun is rising on a new day

Filled with promise of new things to come

Yesterday is a fading memory

For we cannot get it back

 

To move forward, that is the way

Though it may not be clear to us

The best way to proceed

The light will lead us

To the right way to go

 

As a gentle morning breeze

Caresses our skin, enveloping

Our hearts and our souls

It serves as a reminder

Of his touch on us

 

A gentle prodding to continue

To face the future, unafraid

For the light shines brightly

For all to see

The choice is ours to follow.
