Tried to possess me

To this I say no more

 

I will dictate who I am

Be who I want to be

Say what I will do

Free from the one whose love hurt you the most? I don't know if that was a good way to put it or not but this is great poem about how we are free after getting out of a horrid relationship with someone who controlled, lied, cheated, or hell even abused you. You could reach out to many many people with this one Amanda! Great job

I think this poem, first of all, is not too wordy. Each line states the words needed. The lines are not forced so to say. From my perspective on the emotions, I feel like you figured out that you were living in a secluded world and needed to spread your wings - as a butterfly. You show wisdom, you wised up and moved on.
