Yteixna

A Poem by Alexis

Crimson-red elixir trickles down.

Hysterical screams ricochet off the walls;

and it’s so loud, so inaudibly loud.

Lights burst. The screams subside.

Trickle Trickle.

Walls tremble, the floor cracks, the

ceiling smashes through. Falling,

Falling, Falling… into the black ditch.

Trickle Trickle.

Furious red, gone. Dreaded blue,

gone. Mellow yellow, gone.

Damn its cold.

The ground is towering,

water seeps in, flooding.

Time is running out,

there is no escape,

STOP!

Trickle Trickle.
