  Pretty on the

  Inside. 

  I want to be covered

  In pearls and diamonds.

  I want to be the

  Girl with the prettiest

  Dress.

  I need to be Cinderella

  Again.

  I need to feel good

  About myself.

  I want to be pretty again.

  I want everyone to like me

  For who I am and not

  What I do.

  I want to be clean.

  I need to be sweet.

I like the desire and emotion of the poem. No-one want to be look upon with eyes of hate and disappointment. I like the way you wrote the poem. Almost like a modern day fairy tale with hope and dreams. A outstanding poem.

I need to be clean...
hm...those words make me think that you have an addiction of some sort.
Having impurities is human...it happens to the best of us...
Our thoughts, emotions...are never perfectly clean, or pure. It's nearly impossible to be completely pure, inside or out.
I don't understand how this is a rant if the only emotion that you are trying to convey is wistfullness....
And you don't have to capitalize the first letter of every line...

Trying to be pretty just shows how much a person can be vain and not see that everything isn't the perfect spectra they want to make out. Nice poem. Its simple and to the point.

Women have the need to feel pretty, even tom-girl, bull dykes, and the under achieving look in the mirror and decide if they look good or not.
