Me VS. The Monsters

  I feel like a little girl 

  Again-afraid to go

  To sleep alone. 

  I am terrified of the

  Monsters that hide

  Under my bed.

  The demons that lurk

  Inside my head

  Alarm me. 

  I need you beside me,

  To hold me and protect

  Me from the nightmares.

  But you aren't here.

  It is me against the

  Monsters.

I'm starting to wonder if every poem you write is just "something [you] threw together." This is a good poem, but like your note suggests, it's definitely hasty and unpolished. It seems a bit cliché, but I'll give it a good rating nonetheless.

I think that this is thrown togeter with an eye to delight the reader because it certinaly delighted me I think "Alice" that you are much more talented than you believe that you are---- of course I could be wrong but I'd bet a volvo against a Ford that I'm not.

i love how simple the poems are but they always pack a punch.. i hate standing alone in any kind of situation
