Me VS. The Monsters

  I feel like a little girl 

  Again-afraid to go

  To sleep alone. 

  I am terrified of the

  Monsters that hide

  Under my bed.

  The demons that lurk

  Inside my head

  Alarm me. 

  I need you beside me,

  To hold me and protect

  Me from the nightmares.

  But you aren't here.

  It is me against the

  Monsters.
