Shatter

Shatter

A Poem by Adam

There were un-payable debts I agreed to when we met, a never ending need for what you are
I fell into your embrace, our fingers laced, although we're so far apart
Found myself in a soft song with you, our voices were lost but it felt right, my heart crossed, it is ours
still if there's feelings you bottled, you know I'm not bothered when you throw that mason jar

The anger would exist no more
The remainder is pieces on the floor
I'll handle every last shard

I saw your reflection in the glass
What got you there, your past
and reasons for a new start

I could take it all
up to the wall
Make a window to your heart

I would slowly understand
How to be a better man
Once again I tell you this is never hard
