When I'm left to drown in my thoughts

a night guard is all i am
i see no light but the one i torch
i feel so cold and left alone

screams of my flaws all in my head
a night guard is all i am

i suspect myself for what i've not done
for every little sound i take the guilt

and when the night breeze blows i hear a voice
that a night guard is all i am
