senorita

senorita

A Poem by aftervision

Senorita

The bar is open

And I’m the first one in

It’s payday

Plenty of money to spend

Grabbed me a chair

Where I didn’t have to go far

Front and center

Was my seat at the bar

Ten shades deep

Into the margaritas

Trying my best

To forget about my senorita

Wow!! Amazing stuff, aftervision! Short n' sweet-toothed n' punchy n' right to the point n' enveloped in the boozy glow of heartbreak....I love this poem!!! ㋡

It's like a mine movie, I was taken with the simplicity and how much as I read a story behind unfold [Ten shades deep] this the line that did this for me, it create subjective imagination. Then to understand the drinking in of which is the memory to be washed away. The reasoning, to be in the scenario.

Exceedingly well staged and I feel the pain, having had a Senorita to moon over and her loss... led me to a break down and three years of torture. The marriage planned with both families acceptance, never arrive to fill my world. Cheers and can relate... to the kind of emotion, this can create.

Ten shades deep

Into the margaritas

I love these lines. Reminds me of Tequila Sunrise and take another shot of courage. A favorite song. The short lines and fast breaks here give that sense of energy that goes along with going out and trying to forget. Great stuff!
