You looked at me

Before your presence I knew

Then I looked at you

And it was telepathy mixed with glue

 

My lips moved

But to no avail

Your eyes bought my heart

And I didn’t know that it was for sale

 

A magnetic pull drew us near

Down came the walls of protection

Planted was the seed

In our garden of love and affection

 

You spoke and your words vibrated

Against the walls of my heart

And for the first time in my life

I wasn’t afraid to make a new start

 

You gave me the things

That dreams are made of

You painted the picture of forever
And signed it in blood

 

Now you’re mine and I am yours

We both gave up hurt, pain, and our past

For what others only dream about
