a drinkers drink

a drinkers drink

A Poem by aftervision

A Drinker’s Drink

What you do to me

Can words really explain how

How do you describe

Love greater than the heavens allow

An unquenchable thirst

For the pleasure that you bring

What is it within

That makes my everything sing

What is it within

That brings forth such ecstasy

Your love compels me to blindness

I pity the utopian that can see

If the dark angel

Was to descend tonight

If morning came

And my skin felt not the light

I am more than ready

My heart is packed and ready to go

For I have toasted of loves bliss

A drink that drinkers will never know

That's beautiful...sounds like a love that many are privileged to experience often. Nicely done.
