my book -- read it

my book -- read it

A Poem by aftervision
"

my book

"

My book " read it

You have my book

Read it and know me

Sit down and study it

See " if you need to set me free

I have changed from that

Child that you met

I am that baby sleeping

In the me that has not happened yet

Smell my ink

Then define the effects on your nose

Watch me run

As I " strike my pose

Polaroid photos of my shell

Sleeps between the mattress

Feel my nakedness

As I get dressed

Seems " the stroke of my tool

Disturbs you

As I bleed atop thinly sliced trees

The book of me

Take " read and see

Pray first for clarity

Then untouched " let truth flow

Sit down and study it

See " if you need to let me go

after vision

Ooh...so intense, so upfront. Nothing left to be said. The truth hurts sometimes, but it's also great for change and growth.

This 'book' of yours packs a punch. Reading it makes me feel sad - maybe it reminds me of myself.. i enjoyed it. You did a good job .
