lie to my mind

lie to my mind

A Poem by aftervision
"

what the mind remembers

"

Lie to my mind

Your actions

Has motivated my fingers

To record

The activities of you

Your move is my move

Your slow " my slow

You have forced my smile

You have " fed my glow

Taught me a language

That my brain couldn’t interrupt

Gave my heart the chance

To follow its own faith

I cut this paper

Leaving the trail for all to find

“Sometimes the heart " has to lie to the mind”

Your voice

Stops all that moves

Your whisper

Slides me into the groove

My brain remembers

Not to remember anymore

My guards have long forgotten

What they started fighting for

I melt into you

More each and every day

Because I know

That for me " you feel the same way

Your actions

Stands my pen atop paper

Shadows now come to light

As your sun rest atop my taper

after vision

This is one of my favorite parts of this piece. I just love the way your mind works, poet. Truly each stanza could stand alone. Wonderful piece.
