in too deep

in too deep

A Poem by aftervision
"

as love would have it

"

In too deep

I made love to you

Long before I knew your name

Then we met for the first time

And again " I did the same

I made love to you

Long before your flesh was ever exposed

Then God " being God

Blessed me with the spirit of your beauty

To have and to hold

Time stopped

My brain froze

Memory kicked in

My love for you rose

My soul undressed

And welcomed you in

Soul to soul " we talked

And touched " over and over again

In too deep now

To ever look back " ever again

This is where hearts hook up

And true love begins

Here " you be " for me

And I " no longer " be for I

I am here to love you

Until the angel of death " stops by

after vision

"My soul undressed/And welcomed..." I love these four lines particularly. The only suggestion that I would make would be to replace "hook up" with a different word or phrase that is a bit more serious.

This instantly put a smile on my face and got instantly saved to my favs. You had me captured from the first two lines, and felt myself drenched in your words the deeper I got into it. This is an amazing piece.
