A Message for Humanity

A Message for Humanity

A Poem by Black Ink

You pass the homeless curled up on the sidewalks of the streets and what goes through your mind?
Do you pity their state of environment? I'm sure they've had enough of that
Are you disgusted by their personal hygiene?
I'm sure you've seen some in a cardboard box
How about we get to know those people that're beneath us,on a personal note that is
We see on the news destroyed cities, missing children, dead teens and we all take a deep breath to gasp
To some it might be new,but for those that were brought into this world of fire and blood, for those that have learned to blend into fight just to go home and see another day
Aren't we tired of this? What happened to the leaders of tomorrow?
I realize today the world isn't so black and white, today we have colors mixing in and blurring our vision of right and wrong
But we sit in our houses talking about a change, but no one wants to be the start of that change!
Our world is revolving, rotating, twisting and turning inside out
Technology has sped the world's process
And if you can't catch up,you'll get left behind
But more than technology we need generosity
More than advantages we need helping hands
