Heart and SoulA Poem by Black InkStarted out as a poem, but sort of morphed into a story kind ofA blank page waiting to be filled With WORDS Meaningful Or useless Like one's soul can SHINE As if it was apart of the brightest of the heavens Or it can darken Like intense, firery pits of hell Brick, brick, brick, brick Up the walls go surrounding the heart and soul From the cold pain this world draws in Stares, words, fists, screams Crumble the wall bit by bit Iron is then formed around the brick walls When the day is done and Nyx has pulled the curtains of night over the eyes of the sky The walls collaspe The soul licks his wounds The heart bandages her cuts Tears fall and create puddles of pain The heart and soul see their own reflection And can barely reconize themselves But they know the fight is never over They close themselves back inside their prison of protection And add a set of chains to secure their serenity The lullaby of their tears drowns them in their sleep Just to get back up again and fight in this treaterous war
