The StillA Poem by Ashleigh Chantalle
Mellow and hushed,
Deafening silence awakens the shadows That play with the peridot prairie. The zephyr, Invigorated by a lavender haze, Soothes the watchful eye of a nearby seed; Captured by a feather parachute That drifts with the ever changing Pitch and tone Of billowing limbs. Rhythm and rhyme: A cacophonous composition; Ubiquitous discord; An entrancing rhapsody Of perfect dissonance. Petals, like poppy seeds, Sprinkle the sod with staccatos. The valley of the vernacular, Encapsulated with verbose vigor; Ineffable, Though impervious, To obstinate ears. © 2017 Ashleigh ChantalleFeatured Review
