Long Distance Fairytale

Long Distance Fairytale

A Poem by Blue

It hurts to wonder from afar
What you're doing, how you are
You used to tell me, now there's none
To say because you're good as gone.

I'll stop waiting by the phone
Accept you're never coming home
I'll take your pictures off my wall
We should have listened after all.

A love like this is doomed to fail
Skype long distance fairytale
Might have lasted had we met
Before time taught us to forget.

Long distance relationship is not so easy since both of you have to pass different tests which require trust and loyalty.
It's normal to cry when the one you love has given up, but you have to accept that he's not the one deserving so you have to move on.
So moving.
Keep writing, sis!

The belief, that love will blossom, conquer all no matter what, is so often dashed on the rocks of indifference, but it's harder to walk away that keep hoping.

Such a telling line, 'Skype long distance fairytale,' and the rhyming throughout is impeccable.

Beccy.

What a fantastic write, Blue.

You captured the emotions well in this one. I too, have had online relationships and none of them have ever worked out. I felt hopeful every time, I'm not sure if it was because I am so naive. I have now forgotten most of them, except for one. I don't think I will ever be able to forget him.

Though I hope I do, and soon.

Thank you for sharing a part of yourself with us.

wow A...what a sad poem indeed and the saddest part is that i totally understand exactly where you are coming from. i can relate so much to these words right here. i have tried so many of these long distances and at the end of it all,,there is always a heartbreak awaiting me. but foolish little me, i always hope for a different outcome each time. lovely poem, well put together, beautiful words and altogether...perfecto.

A sad look at long distance romances, well worded and written, another wonderfully painful poem. You certainly are a master of the sad poems, Blue. You express what a lot of us feel (or have felt), so please keep being a voice for all of us. It is an absolute joy to read your poems.

I've been in this situation many times when it comes to online relationships. Always thinking it'd work out through the computer cause the communication was good. Everything seems good, then it ends sooner than expected. Not all online relationships last, only few do, but they last cause both people are putting in the right amount of effort. It's hard work, I tell ya. Great realization.,
