Chapter III - Friend's Tale

Chapter III - Friend's Tale

A Chapter by Blue

King found it striking

That the creatures in Third Planet

Contain dual capacities for good and bad.

And their ridiculous human limitations

Were both themes of His awe and humor.

A beautiful maiden with waist-length brown hair

And intelligent brown eyes aroused His curiosity.

He loved her.

And he summoned an ancient spell

That caused a momentary transformation,

Ignoring the knowledge that it was bound to betray Him

At the cost of His Life.

The woman conceived

But on the third month,

He was unheard of.

Both in Third Planet and in Homeland.

The Child survived

But the maiden died.

A widow rumored to be affiliated with witchcraft

Discovered the lifeless body in the forest,

Clutching a newborn.

Unwillingly, she took care of Her

And raised her as Anyah.

She was destined to be hated

‘Cause she wasn’t in Her own dwelling place

And her heart would never be at rest

Until her age ripened to eighteen cycles.

By then, forces would conspire

And initiate her return to Homeland,

Where she would reign as the rightful Heiress of the throne.

The news reached Queen’s ears

And she was terrified at the prospect that Homeland

Would be robbed from her again.

At once, she resolved to murder the infant.

Wow, you move a lot of story in 34 verses. Perhaps I should take notes from you! Your tale is moving along nicely, at a blistering clip of speed. It is quite impressive to see such discipline to the story that, unlike most people, you don't dwell on any specific aspect of the tale, but keep it flowing.

It is intriguing and engaging to read.

You are quite the storyteller.
